Spring has arrived. Or at least… it’s trying.
The days are longer, the shops are full of “BBQ inspiration”. We’re going to be real with you – this means it’s time to start cooking more adventurous food than beans on toast.
Good news is, you don’t need fancy kit or fancy ingredients, just a few trusty Daewoo appliances.
Here are three easy spring recipes, using three Daewoo favourites.
1. Deep‑Pan Pizza
Thick, fluffy base. Crispy edges. Loads of cheese. Job incredibly well done.
You’ll need (nothing fancy):
- Ready‑made pizza dough
- Tomato passata
- Grated mozzarella
- Pepperoni / ham / mushrooms / whatever’s left in the fridge
- Olive oil

How to do it:
- Oil a deep pan and press the dough in nice and thick.
- Let it sit for a bit, so it puffs up (or don’t, it’ll still be good).
- Slap on sauce, cheese and toppings.
- Cook in the Daewoo Napolicasa Pizza Oven, preheated to 250°C, for roughly 14 mins, until bubbly & golden.
- Inevitably burn your mouth scranning it too fast.
2. Sticky Honey & Mustard Chicken (Cooked Earlier. Enjoyed Properly.)
This is the ultimate “looks like effort, wasn’t actually that deep” spring dish.
Important bit: the chicken gets fully cooked before anyone turns up. The buffet server is just here to keep it hot, not to cook it while your mates watch you flap about.
You’ll need:
- Chicken thighs (cheap, juicy, forgiving)
- Honey
- Mustard (wholegrain or Dijon - we’re not snobs)
- Garlic
- Green beans or spring greens
- Salt & pepper

- Earlier in the day, mix honey, mustard, garlic, salt and pepper.
- Coat the chicken and cook it fully in the oven until sticky and golden.
- Cook your veg.
- Once your mates arrive? Beer open. Chat started. Zero stress.
- Pre‑heat the Daewoo Buffet Server for 10 minutes.
- Transfer the already‑cooked chicken into one tray, veg into another and pop the lids on.
- Lid on. Job’s a good’un. Eat.
No last‑minute cooking. No sweating over timings. Maximum hang‑out time.
And they’ll never know you weren’t slaving away all day, because they weren’t even there.

3. Quick Spring Slaw (For balance. Apparently it’s needed.)
You need something green on the table. This counts.
You’ll need:
- White or red cabbage
- Carrot
- Apple (optional, but feels fancy)
- Mayo or yoghurt
- Lemon juice or vinegar

How to do it:
- Slice cabbage and carrots using the slicing/grating attachment on the Daewoo Food Processor and Blender (30–50 seconds, tops).
- Chuck into a bowl.
- Add mayo or yoghurt, a squeeze of lemon, stir.
- Say “we needed something fresh”.
Crunchy, cheap, and no chopping tears, the machine does it.
